4.1. Real-Time Application of Prototype

The software prototype assisted with the waste consolidation at the University waste storage facility on February 19, 2007. The prototype was used to catalog the bottle data for further refinement. The current library of 130 chemicals was created to analyze the existing bottle library of 190 TransportData bottles. At the time, some of the TransportData intermediate containers were actually 20 liter drums themselves. The software is currently under evaluation with the University lab safety officer who will be using the software and instructing the replacement chemistry laboratory coordinator in waste consolidation.
